Zombie Dog Walk!

The economy decline has taken its toll on everyone. The humans are not the only ones that suffer. Tampa’s Humane Society has a program to help families in rough financial times be able to keep their pets and give them the nutritional diets they need to live a happy and healthy life. Their food assistance program has cat and dog food that you can pick up once a week until you get back on your feet. (They also have a spay/neuter program for low-income families)

The founders of The Deadite Empire had to use this program for a short while in the beginning of 2009. Being they experienced first hand the impact this program can have on a household with pets, they have wanted to give back to the organization to thank them and honor the other animals that have owners in rough financial times.

This program can only happen through the donations of people that are able to help, and their food source has become extremely low. The Zombie Dog Walk event hopes to make an impact on stocking the food back up for the animals. Please bring a bag or two or a case of cans of either cat or dog food, any brand would suffice. Otherwise there will be a donation fee at entry; proceeds go to buying more food for the Humane Society of Tampa. The hearse Nosfer-Rod-2 will deliver the food the following day during pet adoption business hours. Let’s make sure the back of the hearse is FILLED to where bags of food are falling out when the doors are opened!

Cover: Bags or cans of Cat or Dog food (or a cash cover to be announced)

Time: Following Pets on the Patio, Doors open at 7 p.m. and playtime on the patio ends at 10 p.m.

Walk of Shame: (Thank you Manda for that name!) Dog walk goes to Dirty Shame’s patio (no dogs inside please!). Walk starts at 10ish p.m.

Pet Friendly: Yes this is a pet friendly event! Bring your dog!

Theme: Any zombie character you like, dress your dogs up to!
