In May 2008 The Deadite Empire threw an event called Tres De Mayo. The founder of Jax Zombie Walk told the founders of The Deadite Empire that she was meeting a group of friends at the walk. The group came up to Creepy Pippy to inform her of the JZW founder’s arrival time. Sheina Fae applied FX makeup to him, and some of the deadites got pictures with him. Little did they realize who he was, thinking that he was just another cool person that likes zombie walks and pub-crawls. |

Several months later the founder of Spooky Empire Con, Petey, contacted The Deadite Empire about hosting the zombie walk for the Con. He told them that they were recommended by one of the original zombies of Dawn of the Dead. They asked him if he had them confused with someone else. Insert foot in mouth, they felt the fool. However it is a great lesson on not taking advantage of people or treating people like graveyard dirt, you never know who you are connecting with. If it was not for the recommendation of Michael Christopher, The Deadite Empire would not be so closely involved with Spooky Empire, and to that they are grateful to him.
